Holistique Blendz Adult Dog (fish)

A “semi-vegetarian” basis diet, to which different protein sources can be added.  This diet has multiple uses.  Holistique Blendz was created to be used as the nutritionally balanced base, to which additional raw (or cooked) meat, vegetables, Buckaroo Beef or canned food can be added, if desired.

This formula is ideal for very allergic dogs; the protein source may be selected according to the dog”s particular intolerances and energy requirements.  Adding extra meat to the diet increases total fat and protein intake.  Holistique Blendz may also be fed alone, for dogs on a restricted-calorie diet, or for older dogs with pancreatic or kidney problems that need reduced amounts of protein or fat.  This product contains no artificial preservatives, colors, flavors, salt or sugar and no wheat, corn or soy – which are common causes of allergies in dogs.

Dogs require many different nutritional components in their diets, often in specific quantities according to their weight, breed, metabolic rate, level of activity and so on.  A raw-meat-only, or home-prepared diet may be deficient in certain nutrients, as it is impossible to determine the exact nutrient profile of this type of diet.  Holistique Blendz helps to overcome this problem, as a nutritionally complete base to which additional ingredients can be added without driving critical nutrient levels to excess.  We recommend using Solid Gold SeaMeal along with this basis plus diet, to provide additional trace minerals and digestive enzymes.

Ocean Fish – fish is an important component of the diet for many dogs.  A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, August, 1999 70:85-90, reported that eating more fish correlates with a reduced risk of certain types of cancer.

Oatmeal – clinically proven to reduce cholesterol, a non-allergenic grain.

Potatoes – a non-allergenic vegetable that helps to firm up the stools in cases of diarrhea.
